Korea Science Academy KSA of KAIST located in Busan, Republic of Korea-International Admissions for the year 2025

KSA ensures a specialized curriculum for the gifted and talented students in math and science under the direct support of the Ministry of Science and ICT. 

This enables the academy to provide research oriented education accompanied by KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) affiliation program. 

KSA will provide financial support for the educational expenses (a full scholarship of tuition fees, full board etc) for international students. 

Students who show outstanding academic performance will receive extra privileges according to school regulations.

ELIGIBILITY

A. Foreign national middle school students, graduates, or those with equivalent educational background are eligible to apply 

B. Applicants with foreign citizenship 

C. Applicants who hold Korean Citizenship (dual citizenship) are not eligible to apply as foreign students 

D. International applicants MUST ADDITIONALLY satisfy one of the following two requirements: 

  a. Neither of the applicant’s parents is a Korean citizen, or; 

  b. For applicants of Korean Origin, he/she must have received his/her entire elementary and junior high education outside of Korea at a comparable and equivalent level of that provided in Korea. 

   ※ Note Applicant of Korean origin who completed their entire education (elementary and junior high) outside of Korea should submit the Certificate of the Facts Concerning the Entry & Exit issued by the Korean Immigration Office. The certificate should have recently been issued. 

E. Note that international schools located in Korea are NOT acknowledged as foreign schools. 

F. Applicants who completed or will have completed middle schools in Korea are also welcomed to apply to KSA
